Scully’s turn to be a hero next, when Mulder and Scully go in search for the truth behind a load of African American’s who keep turning up dead. The CDC seem to think it’s going to be some crazy virus outbreak but turns out there is an African legend that Mulder uncovers using his new source – the woman from the United Nations (who helped him in the beginning episode of season 4). She’s a mysterious character, who seems to throw Mulder some leads, sent there from when Mr X died. She informs him of an ambassador who tried to bury the cases of dead Africans. Anyway long story short – it’s a drug that’s transmitted by a dart, fired by some last surviving tribe member who then steals their hormones… or he turns white :S Mulder gets infected and becomes ‘out of it’ in a ventilation shaft, while Scully saves him and shoots the baddy while in mid air about to jump her.
